What Do You Wish Someone Had Told You About Being Gay?

Everybody has learned a lesson or two about life the hard way. Sometimes, even when we have been warned against or possibly shown the way to something, we give little heed to the words of advice from an older friend. So by trial and error, luck and mishap, we learn what it is to be gay, to be male, to be humans.

A few classics like Ranier Maria Rilke: Letters To A Young Poet offer some thoughful insight, but horrors like “Everything You Wanted to Know About Sex” and others painted gay and bi men as perverted, cross-dressing pedophiles.
